Job Summary
Conduct ACCC investigations, manage domestic and global merger clearances, and handle competition litigation including cartel matters. Draft authorisation and exemption applications while advising on consumer law mandates for Australian and international clients. Collaborate with partners and external law firms to deliver outcomes across diverse sectors, leveraging internal AI tools to enhance efficiency. Based in the Melbourne office with hybrid working arrangements available.
Required Qualifications
- At least 3+ years' PAE in competition and consumer law gained at a well regarded firm in Australia or overseas in a Commonwealth jurisdiction, or equivalent relevant regulator expertise
- Excellent technical, analytical, drafting and problem-solving abilities, with strong attention to detail
- A commercial, pragmatic and responsive approach to servicing clients and identifying solutions
- Strong communication and client management skills, and ability to work effectively within a dynamic, high performing team
- A collaborative and proactive mindset
- Curiosity, a commitment to continuous learning, and an interest in business development, client training and thought leadership
- Qualified in Australia and New Zealand
