Job Summary
Analyze credit information and financial performance to support lending decisions for new and existing commercial banking loans. Conduct credit risk assessments, prepare detailed credit summaries, and utilize financial models to evaluate client repayment capacity and recommend appropriate loan structures. Monitor portfolio performance on an ongoing basis, identifying deteriorating credit conditions and corrective actions while adhering to bank policies and regulatory standards. Support credit-granting decisions by making recommendations to managers and assist in negotiating loan terms and structuring new or renewal loans. Develop proposals to capture new business, identify cross-selling opportunities, and leverage data analysis tools to nurture and grow the portfolio exceeding ROE thresholds. Manage timely data entry into BMO systems and exercise judgment to diagnose and solve complex problems within assigned rules.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree
- 3 – 4 years of relevant experience in credit or lending instruments or financial operations in a corporate or banking environment
- Credit Qualifications and associated credit knowledge and skills according to the credit portfolio requirements and qualification standards
