Job Summary
Cobol developer responsible for applying changes and maintaining COBOL applications within the Sales Key & Provision Platforms, supporting incident management (L3) and working with business/IT stakeholders to ensure changes, risks, issues and compliance gaps are addressed according to risk policies, roadmaps, and requirements. Involves software development, testing (unit, system, E2E), and supporting deployment to production, with emphasis on documentation updates and collaboration across teams.
Required Qualifications
- Experience in COBOL and database (SQL and table organization) is a must.
- Skills in CICS, 3270 programming and UC4 scheduling are good to have.
- Experience with tooling across the Software Development Lifecycle / DevOps: Jira, HP ALM, Confluence or comparable tools.
- Experience in application governance / development guidelines.
- Strong ability to manage unexpected events: collect information, analyze situation, propose and apply solutions in reasonable time.
- Pro-active team player with good communication and English; German language skills are a plus.
