Job Summary
Perform administrative and clinical duties under licensed practitioner delegation to provide basic patient care, including obtaining vital signs, administering injections, and medication administration. Execute full clinical functions for assigned clinic locations while adhering to established policies, procedures, and regulations. Complete required certifications upon hire and within 30 days, including Washington Medical Assistant Certification and National Provider BLS. Required Qualifications
- Coursework/Training and Graduate of an accredited school that includes hands on training in a clinical setting for medical assistants
- Coursework/Training and Graduate of a registered medical assistant apprenticeship program
- Coursework/Training and has completed two years of medical training in the United States Armed Forces
- Coursework/Training and minimum one year of work experience as a medical assistant that includes the following clinical skills: obtaining vital signs, administering injections, and medication administration
- Washington Medical Assistant Certification
- National Provider BLS - American Heart Association
- Medical assisting experience in a clinic setting (0-6 months)
- 6 months of Healthcare experience
- 6 months of Medical Assistant experience
Desired Qualifications
- 6 months prior experience providing a high level of customer service in a fast paced environment
- 6 months previous experience in a healthcare setting working with an Electronic Health record (EHR)
- National Medical Assistant Certification
