Associate Buyer

Associate Buyer at Cracker Barrel will own a defined product category or subcategory, including assortment strategy, vendor matrix, and financial performance; develop seasonal and annual assortment plans aligned to customer needs, brand positioning, and business goals; identify opportunities through trend analysis and sales insights; curate assortments across newness, core replenishment, and SKU rationalization; co-own OTB, receipt flow, and inventory investment decisions, and drive rapid, data-informed decisions on reorders, markdowns, and exits to optimize profitability; collaborate with Planning, Allocation, Marketing, Visual Merchandising, and Store Operations; demonstrate strong analytical skills, vendor management, negotiation, and cross-functional leadership with proficiency in retail math and Excel. The role requires a Bachelor’s degree in Business, Merchandising, Marketing, or related field and 3+ years in retail buying/merchandising with experience influencing a product category or assortment.
