Job Summary
Manage the purchasing process from requisition to delivery, ensuring high response rates, accountability, and reliability of the procurement team. Support project objectives through rigorous contract and supplier performance management, driving supplier initiatives to meet time, cost, and quality requirements. Ensure all purchase orders comply with Commercial, Quality Assurance, and Security policies while proactively leading process improvement and change management. Be responsible for the occupational health and safety of direct reports and assist the Procurement Manager with daily procurement operations. This 18-month fixed-term role is located in Victoria, BC or Ottawa, ON, with a salary range of $55,346 to $69,183. Required Qualifications
- A minimum of 1 + years' experience in procurement or the supply chain function.
- A Bachelor's degree in a relevant field or have an equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Highly developed interpersonal and communications skills, with the ability to influence stakeholders at all levels.
- Detailed knowledge of the principles of supply chain management techniques and supply chain best practices.
- An understanding of global supply chains and downstream global impacts
- In depth experience with ERP systems, specifically modules pertaining to procurement and supply chain management.
Desired Qualifications
- Experience within the Defence / Marine industry is highly desirable.
- Designation through the National Institute of Supply Chain Management, or Certificate in Procurement and Supply Operations is considered an asset.
