Associate Business Analyst

Job Summary
Associate Business Analyst role supporting the implementation and enhancement of software products for insurance clients. Under supervision, you will gather and document business requirements, participate in testing and QA activities, develop project deliverables such as requirement documents, test plans, and user guides, and collaborate with clients to understand business goals. Responsibilities include learning insurance industry concepts, modeling business requirements, supporting functional and user acceptance testing, investigating client-reported issues, participating in design/review meetings, and assisting the project management team in identifying risks and opportunities. Requires experience with life/health/annuity insurance products, XML and ACORD familiarity, cloud-native/SaaS delivery, and strong communication skills; travel up to 20% may be required.
Required Qualifications
- Associate degree preferably in Computer Science, Information Technology, Business Technology (or related field of study) or equivalent life insurance industry work experience
- 1 to 2 years’ experience working with Life Insurance Systems or with Insurance Carrier
- Experience with XML files; exposure to ACORD Standards is a plus
- Experience with cloud-native platforms and SaaS-based Life and Annuity solutions (AWS/Azure/GCP)
- Excellent written, verbal and presentation skills
- Ability to work independently within a team environment
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office Outlook, Visio, Word, Excel
- Travel: Up to 20% based on Client needs
- Learn basic technical skills for implementing product configuration, testing or problem analysis
- Strong problem-solving and analytical abilities
