Job Summary
Provide scientific oversight on projects, including method development, validation, and sample analysis. Serve as Principal Investigator for GLP studies, reviewing validation and bioanalytical reports for completeness. Collaborate with Technical Writing and QA to ensure timely project completion, while maintaining daily communication with customers and providing updates on active projects. Resolve sample discrepancies, monitor project progress, and submit accurate weekly assessments of resource requirements. Conduct thorough investigations of failed runs, organize method troubleshooting, and coordinate customer visits. Prepare validation and sample analysis plans, approve experimental designs, and prepare data for external presentations. Ensure projects are archived according to Quintiles SOP and comply with all applicable regulatory standards, including Good Clinical and Good Laboratory Practices. Submit weekly resource assessments and maintain effective working relationships with coworkers, managers, and clients.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree in a scientific field
- 3 years of related experience in a GLP laboratory environment
- Understanding of liquid chromatography combined with mass spectrometry or in vitro and immunoassay techniques
- Experience in sample extraction and routine laboratory procedures
- Understanding of method development and validation of assays
- Ability to interact with external and internal clients and work to objectives/timelines
- Excellent attention to detail and communication skills
- Ability to follow verbally communicated procedures
- Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with coworkers, managers, and clients
- Strong collaborative skills
- Proficiency in liquid chromatography and mass spectrometry
