Job Summary
Deliver individual, family, group, and school-based grief counseling to bereaved hospice families and community members, addressing emotional needs related to terminal illness and loss under supervision of a licensed therapist. Provide weekly individual and group supervision meetings while maintaining extensive training in clinical documentation within an electronic medical record. Commit to a 24-hour weekly schedule including evenings on an intermittent basis for a minimum of 18 months, with availability for Wednesdays, Mondays, or Fridays and travel to satellite sites as needed. Receive an hourly stipend, benefits, and a wide range of educational in-services.
Required Qualifications
- Hold a master's degree from an accredited master's degree Program in Counseling Psychology or Social Work
- Appropriate registration with the BBS
- Commit to 24 hrs./week, including one evening per week, (on an intermittent basis), for a minimum of 18 months
- Travel to satellite sites, as needed
- Availability which includes Wednesdays and either Mon. or Fri.'s. & the 1st Wednesday of each month
Desired Qualifications
- 1+ years of experience conducting on-going counseling preferred (virtually or in-person)
- Be knowledgeable about Loss and Grief Counseling techniques
- Experience with documentation in an electronic medical record preferred
- Candidates bi-lingual in Mandarin are encouraged to apply
