Job Summary
Government Banking Associate role focused on expanding relationships with state and local government clients within the Middle Market Banking space. Responsibilities include collaborating on Treasury management proposals, performing cost/benefit analyses and profitability modeling, preparing relationship review materials and pitch books, understanding clients' Treasury cash management structures, and managing sales pipeline with treasury management officers to ensure timely and accurate pricing and services. The position emphasizes delivering innovative banking solutions, staying current on industry trends, and driving efficiency through technology while maintaining a customer-centric approach. Must leverage extensive local connections and market knowledge to identify opportunities and develop profitable client relationships; requires the ability to work semi-independently within a team and to present to clients and prospects.
Required Qualifications
- 2+ years with above average performance results in a similar banking role or related experience
- Outstanding professional reputation and integrity
- Strong leadership skills required
- Demonstrated ability to work independently and develop and maintain internal and external relationships
- Demonstrated ability to present to clients and prospects to create and retain new and profitable relationships in a highly competitive environment
- Extensive knowledge of products and services
