Job Summary

Delivers exceptional service to BMO customers and prospects by identifying needs and providing advice on financial solutions. Proactively engages with existing customers and prospects to grow loyalty, complete needs assessments, and recommend tailored solutions for everyday banking, retail investments, lending, and small business needs. Supports customer transactions, generates appointments, and builds new relationships within the community while integrating marketing promotions into conversations. Follows through on risk and compliance processes to safeguard assets, maintain privacy, and ensure accurate data entry in line with legal and regulatory requirements. Identifies and reports suspicious activity related to money laundering and completes complex tasks including handling escalations. May work at multiple branches or through various channels based on market needs, with a schedule that may differ week to week.

Required Qualifications

  • Typically between 2 - 3 years of relevant experience
  • post-secondary degree in related field of study
  • Registration to sell investment products completed - as appropriate for the jurisdiction
  • Appropriate lending qualifications and designations
  • Working knowledge of personal and small business customer needs and solutions
  • Working knowledge of retail investments and lending products
  • Experience in financial services
  • Confident and experienced in the use of social media, tablets, Smart phones, online tools, and applications
  • Experience in a consultative customer service or sales role

  • This position will act as an originator of consumer loans as defined by Regulation Z, Regulation G, and the Secure and Fair Enforcement for Mortgage Licensing Act (the S.A.F.E. Act)
  • This position will require a Federal registration with the Nationwide Mortgage Licensing System and Registry
  • The Bank will instruct you on the registration requirements needed to comply with this requirement
  • A criminal background review and credit history evaluation will be required for this position as well as restrictions on performing in a real estate agent capacity
  • Salary: $50,100.00 - $82,800.00
  • Pay Type: Salaried
