Job Summary

Delivers exceptional service to BMO customers and prospects by welcoming clients in the lobby, guiding them through digital options, and identifying needs for financial solutions. Collaborates with partners to identify referral opportunities that grow customer relationships beyond personal banking while recommending alternative banking channels. Reviews customer profiles to address everyday banking plans and credit card needs, integrating marketing promotions into conversations to provide strategic advice. Supports operational activities including inventory management, filing, and following up on customer applications. Follows risk and compliance processes to safeguard customer assets and identify suspicious activity related to money laundering. Maintains current knowledge of personal banking products and legal requirements to uphold ethical industry standards. Works part-time, typically scheduled for 20 hours per week, with a schedule that may vary based on market needs.

Required Qualifications

  • Canada only: Registration to sell investment products completed or in progress (must be completed within 12 months) - as appropriate for the jurisdiction
  • Typically between 1 – 2 years of relevant experience and/or certification in related field of study desirable or an equivalent combination of education and experience
  • Confident and experienced in the use of social media, tablets, Smart phones, online tools, and applications
  • Some experience in a consultative customer service or sales roles, with a drive to deliver a personal customer experience
  • Basic knowledge of specialized sales and business banking solutions to refer to specialists
  • Passionate commitment to helping customers
