Job Summary
Research client businesses and assist in creating financial statements, including customized note disclosures. Identify accounting issues, collaborate on work plans, and perform assurance procedures under supervision. Develop testing questions to verify reporting information and prepare corporate tax returns as needed. Respond promptly and proactively to clients while maintaining a strong technical audit skill set. This role supports client service and assurance engagements for private businesses and high net worth families, with an expected start date of January 2027.
Required Qualifications
- Pursuing a Canadian CPA designation
- Enrolled in or completion of a Bachelors degree majoring in Accounting, Commerce or Business
Desired Qualifications
- Knowledge of CaseWare and TaxPrep
- Co-op or internship experience with a public accounting firm
- Solid understanding of business professionalism and the ability to work in a team environment
- Excellent written and verbal communication
