Job Summary

Draft, review, and file legal pleadings, motions, and discovery documents to advance active litigation files. Analyze case files and inventory reports to determine appropriate actions and ensure proper workflow compliance. Advocate for client interests at hearings, mediations, arbitrations, and trials, including case strategy development and oral arguments. Negotiate settlements with consumers and legal representatives while maintaining adherence to firm and client standard operating procedures. Utilize internal proprietary software to update account statuses and process litigation inventory reports as assigned by the Managing Attorney. This role requires a Pennsylvania-admitted attorney with at least one year of litigation experience to manage a large caseload in a high-volume environment. The position involves a 40-hour flexible workweek with occasional travel to various courtrooms.

Required Qualifications

  • Admitted to practice law and in good standing in Pennsylvania
  • Strong organizational and time management skills
  • Proficient computer skills in Microsoft Office suite, including Word, Excel, and Outlook
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Highly motivated self-starter
  • Eagerness to learn
  • Ability to manage and prioritize a large caseload
  • Be able to communicate in a common language with (or to) individuals or groups verbally and/or in writing
  • Be able to operate a computer, phone, or equivalent device
  • Be able to complete a minimum of a 40-hour flexible workweek schedule
  • Be able to read and comprehend position-specific documents and correspondence
  • Ability to travel to various courtrooms within the branch office footprint as required

Desired Qualifications

  • Minimum of one year of litigation/trial experience
  • Working knowledge of civil procedure
  • Debt collection experience
  • Prior experience in a high-volume environment
