Job Summary
Associate Attorney for a consumer protection practice in Ohio. Primary duties include maintaining and supervising a heavy and diversified caseload, drafting pleadings, motions, and legal memoranda, reviewing and drafting agreements, conducting legal research related to contract and consumer law issues, and communicating with clients and opposing parties to resolve or settle claims. The role involves in-home work with potential travel to in-court appearances; effective organization, time management, and clear written and oral communication are essential. Must be admitted to the Ohio bar and have at least 1 year of relevant law-firm experience, with the ability to interact with senior management and colleagues across offices.
Required Qualifications
- Must be admitted to practice law in Ohio
- Minimum of 1 year of relevant experience at a law firm
- Strong organizational & time-management skills
- Exceptional written and oral communication skills
- Highest ethical standards and professional integrity
- Strong interpersonal skills and ability to work with senior management and employees at all levels
- Strong legal research skills; proficiency in LexisNexis is a plus
