Job Summary
Maintain and supervise a diversified caseload of clients in Ohio, including drafting pleadings, motions, legal memoranda, and reviewing agreements. Communicate with clients and opposing parties to resolve or settle claims while conducting legal research on contract and consumer law issues. Handle transactional and civil litigation matters remotely via telephone and electronic means, though court travel is required for appearances. Candidates must be admitted to practice in Ohio with at least one year of relevant experience. This role offers broad responsibility exposure within a consumer protection practice focused on helping victims of creditor harassment.
Required Qualifications
- Must be currently admitted to practice law in Ohio
- Minimum of 1 year of relevant experience at a law firm
- Must possess superior organizational & time-management skills to meet strict deadlines
- Exceptional written and oral communication skills
- Highest ethical standards and professional integrity
- Strong interpersonal skills and ability to work easily with senior management and employees at all levels throughout the organization
- Candidates must be currently located in our surrounding the Toledo, Ohio area to be considered for this position
- Must be able to travel for in court appearances
Desired Qualifications
- Strong legal research skills -- proficiency in LexisNexis is a plus
