Job Summary
Associate Attorney in creditors' rights litigation supports senior attorneys by drafting pleadings, motions, legal correspondence, and discovery; appear in court on routine matters and assist with trial preparation; conduct legal research and stay current with statutes and case law; review case files and help develop case strategy; maintain case management systems and ensure accuracy of legal documentation; communicate with clients, courts, and opposing counsel under supervision; collaborate with legal staff to meet deadlines and court requirements.
Required Qualifications
- Active California Bar license
- 1+ years of civil litigation or creditors' rights experience
- Strong research, writing, and analytical skills
- Ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines in a fast-paced environment
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Eagerness to learn, grow, and work collaboratively
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office; comfort with legal tech systems (Cogent experience is a plus)
- Occasional travel for court appearances as needed
- Ability to pass a background and drug test
