Job Summary
Full-time Associate Attorney for a consumer-protection practice in New Mexico. Responsibilities include maintaining a heavy/diversified caseload, drafting pleadings and legal memoranda, reviewing and drafting agreements, researching contract and consumer-law issues, communicating with clients and opposing parties, and coordinating with the New York office via telephone/email. Travel for in-court appearances may be required. Position emphasizes developing career in a challenging, professional environment with a focus on consumer protection and civil litigation.
Required Qualifications
- Must be currently admitted to practice law in New Mexico
- Minimum of 1 year of relevant experience at a law firm
- Strong organizational & time-management skills
- Exceptional written and oral communication skills
- High ethical standards and professional integrity
- Strong interpersonal skills and ability to work with senior management and employees at all levels
- Strong legal research skills; LexisNexis experience is a plus
