Job Summary
Manage client matters from intake through resolution, negotiating with creditors and opposing counsel on debt resolution, consumer advocacy, and tenant rights. Draft pleadings and legal correspondence while utilizing the firm's Salesforce-based case management system. Collaborate with attorneys and support staff to achieve positive client outcomes without billable hour requirements or business development duties. Work remotely from anywhere in Maine on a standard Monday through Friday schedule from 9:00 AM to 6:00 PM.
Required Qualifications
- Active Maine Bar license in good standing
- Must be able to work fully remotely
- Must be located in Maine
- Must be available for a full-time position
- Must not maintain a competing legal practice during business hours
- Must be available for Monday through Friday, 9:00 AM to 6:00 PM schedule
- Must be able to manage client matters from intake through resolution
- Must be able to negotiate with creditors and opposing counsel
- Must be able to handle legal matters involving consumer issues, debt collection, financial hardship, and tenant rights
- Must be able to draft pleadings, motions, and legal correspondence
- Must be able to utilize the firm's Salesforce-based case management system
- Must be able to collaborate with attorneys and support staff to achieve positive client outcomes
