Job Summary
Manage your own caseload from inception through resolution, drafting pleadings, motions, and discovery requests while preparing for and attending depositions, hearings, and trials. Take and defend depositions, file dispositive motions, and handle arbitrations and mediations with prior ADR experience. Prepare comprehensive status reports for insurers and conduct in-depth legal research to develop and execute effective litigation strategies. Ensure meticulous compliance with all court deadlines and maintain clear, consistent communication with clients, experts, and senior attorneys.
Required Qualifications
- Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an ABA-accredited law school
- Admission to the New York State Bar
- At least 5 years of experience handling the defense of Transportation, Construction Litigation, and Tort Liability
- Ability to draft and argue dispositive motions
- Ability to perform legal research
- Ability to respond to discovery requests
- Ability to manage cases from inception through resolution
Desired Qualifications
- Prior ADR experience handling arbitrations and mediations
