Job Summary
Maintain and supervise a heavy, diversified caseload of clients in Mississippi while drafting pleadings, motions, legal memoranda, and reviewing agreements. Communicate with clients and opposing parties to resolve or settle claims, conducting legal research on contract and consumer law issues. Handle in-person court appearances while communicating with the New York headquarters exclusively via telephone and electronic means. Candidates must be admitted to practice in Mississippi with at least one year of relevant law firm experience.
Required Qualifications
- Currently located in or near the Biloxi, Mississippi area
- Currently admitted to practice law in Mississippi
- Minimum of 1 year of relevant experience at a law firm
- Superior organizational & time-management skills
- Exceptional written and oral communication skills
- Highest ethical standards and professional integrity
- Strong interpersonal skills and ability to work easily with senior management and employees at all levels throughout the organization
- Strong legal research skills
- Proficiency in LexisNexis
- Must be able to travel for in court appearances
- Must be available to communicate exclusively via telephone and electronic means (e-mail, Microsoft Teams, etc.)
