Job Summary
An associate attorney on the Mass Tort Team at The Gori Law Firm represents individuals who have suffered injury from dangerous products and devices through offering legal advice, conducting discovery, appearing in court, and researching and drafting legal pleadings. Duties include learning filing and case management procedures for various Multidistrict Litigations, researching and preparing legal pleadings and memoranda, assisting with discovery, maintaining client and defense counsel communication, managing a large client volume through delegating to paralegals and legal assistants, and appearing in court as needed. Position is full-time and in-office with office-based work; must be licensed to practice law and able to pass a background check. Salary range $65,000-$80,000/year with a comprehensive benefits package.
Required Qualifications
- 1-3 years of attorney experience
- Personal injury experience preferred
- Licensed to practice Law in any state, Missouri and/or Illinois preferred
- Competent to Expert knowledge in legal procedures for discovery, filing, motion practice, case management
- Legal research and writing
- MS Office Word, Excel, Adobe, and Outlook
- Self-motivated and well-organized
- Ability to problem solve and strategize
- Ability to learn client and document management system
- Compassion for helping injured clients
- Available and responsive to deadlines
- Must be able to pass pre-employment background check
