Job Summary
Independently manage a litigation caseload by conducting depositions, preparing witnesses, and reviewing discovery requests. Draft and respond to discovery requests, pleadings, and motions while supporting trial preparation. Maintain accurate time records and analyze complex matters with superior research and writing skills. Candidates must hold a Juris Doctor, be admitted to practice in Louisiana, and possess experience in general litigation, toxic tort, or environmental liability. This role offers a hybrid work environment where associates collaborate closely with senior lawyers on challenging civil matters.
Required Qualifications
- Experience in one or more of the following practice areas: general litigation, complex litigation, toxic tort liability, or environmental liability.
- Juris Doctor from an accredited law school.
- Must be admitted to practice in the state of Louisiana
- Experience with motion practice and depositions.
- Capable of independent work.
- Work in an organized and efficient manner.
- Superior research and writing skills.
- Ability to multi-task.
- Ability to analyze complex matters.
Desired Qualifications
- Experience taking lead in plaintiff and expert depositions is preferred but not required.
