Job Summary
Associate Attorney in Litigation focused on title review and title clearance for mortgage lenders and investors, handling both routine and contested foreclosure matters across Texas. Duties include appearing in court, drafting motions and pleadings, preparing discovery responses, reviewing title reports, curing title issues quickly (within 24-48 hours of receipt), analyzing loan documents, liaising with insurers and clients, and maintaining case management records. The role requires a J.D. degree, active Texas bar license, and a minimum of two years of relevant real estate and foreclosure experience; candidates licensed in GA, AL, or MS are strongly preferred. This position is designated as hybrid or remote based on experience and location, with potential in-office training as needed.
Required Qualifications
- J.D. degree
- licensed in Texas and in good standing with the Texas Bar
- minimum 2 years experience in real estate and title review/curative
- experience in Texas default servicing and foreclosure litigation is a plus
- knowledge of Federal, State, Local laws
- knowledge of Texas Mortgage Foreclosure Law preferred
- ability to communicate effectively
- ability to work independently or in a group/team setting
- ability to multi-task
- ability to navigate title standards
- proficiency in MS Office and case management software
- strong writing and oral communication skills
