Job Summary
Draft pleadings, motions, and discovery responses while conducting legal research and preparing case summaries. Maintain strict control over case deadlines by tracking court dates, identifying risks, and ensuring all filings meet procedural rules. Execute assigned litigation work without deviation, capturing time contemporaneously and converting it into billed output aligned with firm production targets. Progress cases through structured discovery, including drafting requests, preparing for depositions, and coordinating with internal staff. Provide timely case updates to clients and partners, documenting all communications in case systems. Requires a Texas-licensed JD with three years of civil litigation experience.
Required Qualifications
- Juris Doctor (JD) from an ABA-accredited law school
- Active license to practice law in Texas
- 3+ years of civil litigation experience
- Drafting motions and discovery
- Depositions (taking and/or defending)
- Court appearances
