Job Summary
Associate Attorney needed to handle consumer-protection matters in Illinois, including drafting pleadings and legal memoranda, reviewing and drafting agreements, and communicating with clients and opposing parties. Role involves maintaining a heavy caseload, substantial legal research, and potential travel for in-court appearances. Must be admitted to practice in Illinois; experience in contract and consumer law a plus; strong organizational, written, and oral communication skills required. Role is based from home with remote work options; candidates should be located in or commutable to Johnson County, IL. Flexible collaboration with the firm’s New York headquarters via telephone/e-mail/Microsoft Teams.
Required Qualifications
- Must be currently admitted to practice law in Illinois
- Minimum of 1 year of relevant experience at a law firm
- Strong organizational & time-management skills
- Exceptional written and oral communication skills
- Highest ethical standards and professional integrity
- Strong interpersonal skills and ability to work with senior management and employees at all levels
- Strong legal research skills; proficiency in LexisNexis is a plus
