Associate Attorney - Healthcare Compliance

Job Summary
Draft and maintain enterprise compliance policies, procedures, and operational controls for Medicaid, Medicare Advantage, and HIPAA regulations. Lead client, government, and internal audits, coordinate corrective action plans from intake through resolution, and conduct risk assessments across delegated entities. Provide legal counsel on healthcare regulatory matters, advise internal teams on compliance risks, and support privacy initiatives and investigations. Collaborate cross-functionally with Operations, Product, Security, HR, and Client Success to embed compliance into day-to-day operations and strengthen regulatory infrastructure.
Required Qualifications
- Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school
- Active bar license in good standing
- 3+ years of experience in healthcare law, healthcare compliance, or a related regulatory role
- Working knowledge of Medicaid, Medicare Advantage, HIPAA, and healthcare regulatory frameworks
- Experience supporting audits, investigations, corrective action plans, and risk assessments
- Strong analytical, organizational, and communication skills
- Ability to interpret complex regulatory requirements and operationalize them effectively
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, growth-oriented environment with evolving priorities
Desired Qualifications
- Experience supporting Medicaid or government program audits
- Experience building or scaling healthcare compliance programs
- Familiarity with delegated oversight, FDR oversight, or vendor compliance programs
- Experience in NEMT, managed care, digital health, or healthcare services organizations
- Experience supporting compliance training and policy governance programs
