Associate attorney for an insurance defense/personal injury firm on Long Island seeking 3+ years of experience in premises liability, Labor Law, automobile liability, and dog-bite litigation. Responsibilities include significant client contact from inception to judgment, drafting pleadings and responding to discovery, reviewing medical records, conducting depositions, and representing clients at court appearances and relevant motions. Flexible work-from-home options available; sign-on bonus offered for the right candidate.
Required Qualifications
- Juris Doctor (JD) or equivalent
- 3+ years of relevant experience handling insurance defense/personal injury cases
- experience with premises liability; Labor Law claims; automobile liability; dog bite litigation
- ability to handle cases from inception to judgment
- significant client contact and reporting to clients/insurance carriers
- ability to draft pleadings, respond to discovery demands, review and analyze medical records
- conducting and representing clients at depositions; court appearances in Nassau, Suffolk, Westchester and NYC courts
- remote work ability on an as-needed basis
- strong written and oral advocacy skills
