Job Summary
Assist with criminal and family law matters from intake through resolution, appearing in court and participating in hearings. Conduct legal research, draft pleadings and motions, and meet with clients to manage ongoing communication. Work directly with an experienced attorney to develop practical skills, learn Oklahoma district court procedures, and build case management abilities. Take on increasing responsibility and independence over time as you develop courtroom and litigation experience. This role offers a base salary of $85,000-$100,000 with performance-based compensation, medical and dental insurance, and paid time off. The position requires an active Oklahoma Bar license and an expected workload of 40-50 hours per week within a respectful, collaborative culture that welcomes veterans, minority attorneys, and Native American attorneys.
Required Qualifications
- Active Oklahoma Bar license and good standing
- Strong interest in criminal law, family law, or both
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Strong work ethic and willingness to learn
- Coachability and openness to feedback
- Professional judgment and integrity
- Ability to work collaboratively while developing increasing independence
- Expected workload of approximately 40-50 hours per week with flexibility in how those hours are structured
Desired Qualifications
- Recent law school graduation or early-career legal experience
- Prior courtroom, clerkship, internship, or externship experience
- Experience with criminal or family law matters
- Familiarity with Oklahoma district court procedures
- Experience drafting pleadings, motions, or other legal documents
