Job Summary
Maintain and supervise a diversified caseload of clients in Virginia, drafting pleadings, motions, legal memoranda, and reviewing agreements. Communicate with clients and opposing parties to resolve or settle claims while conducting legal research on contract and consumer law issues. Handle in-court appearances despite the role's remote base, requiring travel as needed. Candidates must be admitted to practice in Virginia with at least one year of relevant experience, possessing strong organizational skills and proficiency in LexisNexis. Required Qualifications
- Must be currently admitted to practice law in Virginia
- Minimum of 1 year of relevant experience at a law firm
- Must possess superior organizational & time-management skills to meet strict deadlines
- Exceptional written and oral communication skills
- Highest ethical standards and professional integrity
- Strong interpersonal skills and ability to work easily with senior management and employees at all levels throughout the organization
- Must be located in or within a commutable distance to Fairfax, Virginia
- Must be available for travel for in court appearances
- Must be able to communicate with the main office exclusively via telephone and electronic means (e-mail, Microsoft Teams, etc.)
Desired Qualifications
- Experience drafting legal documents such as pleadings and legal memoranda
- Strong legal research skills -- proficiency in LexisNexis is a plus
