Job Summary
Draft pleadings, motions, and discovery requests; prepare for and attend depositions, hearings, and trials. Communicate with clients, opposing counsel, and court personnel while participating in case strategy discussions and negotiations. Manage case files and maintain accurate, organized records. Handle cases from beginning to end independently, requiring strong research, writing, and oral communication skills. Minimum of four years of experience in corporate litigation or tort-based litigation is required, along with admission to the State Bar of Texas. Travel when necessary. Join a firm with a Southwest regional footprint serving clients from start-ups to Fortune 500 companies.
Required Qualifications
- Juris Doctor degree from an accredited law school
- Admission to the State Bar of Texas
- minimum of 4 years of experience in corporate litigation/tort based litigation
- Strong research and writing skills
- Excellent oral communication and negotiation skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Strong organizational and time management skills
- Willingness to travel when necessary
