Job Summary
Handle every aspect of civil litigation cases from inception to resolution, including legal strategy, research, drafting pleadings and motions, managing discovery, arguing motions in court, attending mediations, and trial. Conduct legal research, draft pleadings and motions, propound and respond to discovery, and interface directly with clients and opposing counsel. Take and defend depositions, with experience in these areas preferred. Manage a caseload independently while collaborating closely with team members and being mentored by experienced partners. Work with diverse clients including individuals, businesses, and organizations. Join an award-winning mid-sized law firm recognized for excellence in the San Diego office.
Required Qualifications
- 1+ years of experience in civil litigation in a law firm environment
- Skilled in conducting legal research, drafting pleadings and motions, propounding and responding to discovery, as well as interfacing directly with clients and opposing counsel
- Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree from an accredited law school
- Current admission to the California State Bar
