Job Summary
Draft pleadings, motions, discovery requests, and responses while providing effective legal counsel in the defense of civil disputes in South Carolina. Handle diverse and challenging cases for retail and hospitality clients, conducting thorough legal research and analysis to develop and implement litigation strategies aligned with client goals. Prepare for and participate in depositions, mediations, hearings, and trials, communicating effectively with clients, opposing counsel, and court personnel. Collaborate with attorneys across the firm to deliver comprehensive legal solutions, write reports, and develop budgets. This role supports the growth of the firm's expanding presence throughout South Carolina.
Required Qualifications
- Juris Doctor (J.D.) from an accredited law school
- Admission to the South Carolina Bar
- Minimum of 3 years of civil defense experience with a demonstrated track record defending civil matters
- Excellent analytical, writing, negotiation, and presentation skills
- Commitment to delivering exceptional client service
- Civil Defense Experience
Desired Qualifications
- Admission to the Federal District Court of South Carolina (preferred)
