Job Summary
Maintain and supervise a heavy, diversified caseload of clients in Illinois while drafting pleadings, motions, legal memoranda, and reviewing agreements. Communicate with clients and opposing parties to resolve or settle claims, conducting legal research on contract and consumer law issues. This role requires travel for court appearances and full-time commitment within a hybrid schedule, with headquarters in New York City. Candidates must be admitted to practice in Illinois with at least one year of relevant law firm experience.
Required Qualifications
- Must be currently admitted to practice law in Illinois
- Minimum of 1 year of relevant experience at a law firm
- Must possess superior organizational & time-management skills to meet strict deadlines
- Exceptional written and oral communication skills
- Highest ethical standards and professional integrity
- Strong interpersonal skills and ability to work easily with senior management and employees at all levels throughout the organization
- Candidates must be within a commutable distance to Chicago, IL to be considered for this role
- Must be able to travel for in court appearances
Desired Qualifications
- Strong legal research skills -- proficiency in LexisNexis is a plus
