Job Summary

Oversee the Long-Term Care team, including planners, care coordinators, and legal assistants, by providing strategic direction and ensuring departmental alignment with firm values. Conduct initial consultations and ongoing meetings with clients to assess needs, then develop comprehensive Care Plans involving Medicaid qualification strategies, asset protection, and care coordination. Review and approve all legal documents, including Powers of Attorney, Wills, and Trusts, while supervising benefit entitlement applications and managing appeals. Lead staff development, mentor personnel, and recommend process enhancements to improve operational efficiency and client experience. Requires a J.D. degree, active Ohio license, and experience in elder law and estate planning.

Required Qualifications

  • Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree from an accredited law school
  • Active license to practice in the State of Ohio
  • Experience practicing estate planning and/or elder law
  • Strong understanding of Ohio estate planning and elder laws
  • Excellent drafting and analytical skills, with keen attention to detail
  • Demonstrated ability to communicate effectively with clients and colleagues
  • Proven track record of delivering high-quality legal services and achieving favorable outcomes for clients
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a dynamic, fast-paced environment
  • Proficiency in legal research tools and software
  • Ability to close high-value sales
