Job Summary
Join Bremer Whyte Brown & O'Meara, LLP as a Litigation Associate and take on hands-on litigation involving wrongful death, premises liability, personal injury, and breach of contract/business disputes. Ideal candidates will have 1 - 3+ years of civil litigation experience, exceptional communication and advocacy skills, and a client-focused approach. Responsibilities include legal strategy, drafting pleadings and motions, managing discovery, arguing motions, and attending trial and mediations. A Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree and current admission to the Colorado State Bar are mandatory.
Required Qualifications
- 1 - 3+ years of experience in civil litigation in a law firm environment
- Comprehensive litigation experience including legal research, drafting motions, managing discovery, interfacing directly with clients and opposing counsel
- Experience taking and defending depositions, arguing motions and attending mediations preferred
- Trial experience is a plus
- Exceptional communication and advocacy skills
- Client-focused mindset and a passion for achieving successful outcomes
- Desire and/or ability to manage a caseload independently
- Ability to work collaboratively with team members
- Current admission to the Colorado State Bar is required
