Job Summary
Join Bremer Whyte Brown & O’Meara, LLP as a Litigation Associate, where you'll handle various litigation matters from inception to resolution, involving wrongful death, premises liability, personal injury, and business disputes. Responsibilities include legal research, drafting motions, managing discovery, attending court and mediations, and working closely with clients. Ideal candidates possess at least 1 year of civil litigation experience in a law firm, strong advocacy skills, and a J.D. from an accredited law school. Current California State Bar admission is mandatory.
Required Qualifications
- 1+ years of experience in civil litigation in a law firm environment
- Skilled in conducting legal research
- Drafting pleadings and motions
- Propounding and responding to discovery
- Interfacing directly with clients and opposing counsel
- Experience taking and defending depositions
- Arguing motions and attending mediations
- Exceptionally communication and advocacy skills
- Client-focused mindset
- Desire and/or ability to manage a caseload independently
Additional Requirements
- Current admission to the California State Bar is required
