Associate Attorney needed for a nationwide airports practice, focusing on regulatory, transactional, and litigation matters across airport operations, development, procurement, and financing. The role involves working directly with clients and partners, opportunities for periodic travel to client meetings and conferences, and collaboration across practice areas (environmental, rail/transit, project delivery). The candidate should have 3–5 years of relevant experience, a strong writing and analytical skill set, and the ability to work both independently and in a team, with an interest in public sector legal work. The position is full-time and located in one of multiple urban offices (Denver, San Francisco, New York, or Washington, DC) with a hybrid work arrangement. The firm emphasizes mentorship, partner-track potential, and a collaborative, impact-driven practice in airports and related infrastructure sectors. The firm requires a law degree from an accredited law school and admission to practice in a U.S. jurisdiction.
Required Qualifications
- 3 to 5 years of legal experience in regulatory, litigation, and/or transactional work
- admitted to practice law in a U.S. jurisdiction (CO, NY, DC, or CA preferred)
- demonstrated interest in public sector legal work
- exceptional writing, legal drafting, analytical, negotiating, and advocacy skills
- ability to interact professionally with clients and colleagues
- ability to work independently and in a team environment
- initiative and client responsiveness
- experience with federal regulatory framework in airports or transportation regulations (e.g., U.S. DOT, FAA, FRA, FTA, FHWA)
- experience with airport operations, airport law, or aviation-related matters
- professional or personal interest in public infrastructure, aviation, transportation, public policy
