Job Summary
Coordinate comprehensive medical care for student-athletes, ranging from injury prevention to rehabilitation and return-to-play decisions. Manage daily facility operations, including scheduling pre-participation physicals, physician referrals, and NCAA drug testing compliance. Instruct three contact hours per term in the Kinesiology Department while supervising assistant trainers and student interns. Maintain confidential EMR records and support departmental administration. Work a flexible schedule covering mornings, evenings, weekends, and team travel.
Required Qualifications
- Master's degree in Athletic Training, Kinesiology, or a related field
- BOC Certified
- Texas State Licensure (or eligibility)
- CPR/AED/First Aid certified
- 3–5 years of athletic training experience
- Knowledge of NCAA Division II rules/best practices
- EMR software proficiency
- Excellent communication
- Ability to work a flexible schedule (mornings, evenings, weekends, and team travel)
- Background check clearance
Desired Qualifications
- 2+ years of collegiate athletic training experience
- Previous teaching or instructional experience
- Experience supervising athletic training students or interns
