Job Summary
Operational Risk and Control Associate/Associate Director (FTC, 6 months) at Pemberton Asset Management headquartered in London. Core duties include assisting design and execution of ISAE3402 Type 1/Type 1 supportive control reports, maintaining assurance logs, monitoring remediation progress, and supporting risk/control design and effectiveness reviews across high-risk processes. The role involves risk data alignment for ISAE3402, development of GRC capabilities, continual development of operational risk guidance (RCSA, Change Risk, Risk Issue management), and coordinating responses to internal and external audits. Requires strong operational risk experience in financial services, governance, control assurance expertise, agile-change experience, and excellent communication with stakeholders. Proficiency in Office tools (Excel, Word, Outlook) and SharePoint, with an emphasis on collaboration, attention to detail, and ability to operate in a global, diverse environment. The role reports to the Head of Risk in London and is located in London with an in-person work arrangement.
Required Qualifications
- 6+ years’ exposure to Operational risk in financial services preferably including experience in private finance and/or asset management
- Strong experience in Operational Risk methodologies and their deployment through guidance and training
- Experience in supporting or leading agile change initiatives
- Strong stakeholder engagement with track record of influencing change
- Fluent in English and able to communicate effectively in a global organisation
- Strong IT skills, particularly with Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook) and document management systems such as SharePoint
