Job Summary
As an Associate / Associate Director, you will provide technical leadership for bridge and civil engineering design projects. Responsibilities include leading design teams, mentoring junior members, managing resources, coordinating multi-disciplinary inputs, and developing client relationships. Candidates should have practical knowledge in bridge design and project management, along with a proven track record in structural projects. Familiarity with relevant design manuals, codes, and analysis software is essential.
Required Qualifications
- Practical knowledge and experience of bridge design, maintenance and assessment
- Proven working knowledge of the Design Manual for Roads and Bridges (DMRB)
- Understanding and experience of use of Eurocodes
- Experience of design in or assessment of steel, reinforced and prestressed concrete bridge structures
- Experience of grillage, space frame and finite element analysis software
Desired Qualifications
- Chartered Civil or Structural Engineer
- Good communication, client handling and interpersonal skills
- Experience in innovation in design and management of structures
- Practical knowledge of project management of bridge projects
- Experience with design analysis software packages
