Job Summary
Associate, Asset Management role driving investor and lender reporting, budgeting/forecasting, AP and cash management, and debt-service support for utility and C&I solar assets. Responsible for preparing monthly/quarterly reports and compliance certificates, coordinating inputs across operations, accounting, and finance, supporting debt covenant monitoring, and maintaining audit-ready documentation. Requires GAAP knowledge with the ability to reconcile GAAP to cash, perform variance analyses, and support regulatory filings. Collaboration across Accounting, Technical Asset Management, and Accounts Payable is essential, with opportunities to standardize reporting templates and introduce basic automation. Proficiency in Excel (pivot tables, lookups, basic modeling), ERP/accounting systems, and BI tools (Power BI, Tableau); familiarity with investor/lender reporting conventions, cash waterfall mechanics, and debt covenant testing is a plus. Experience with VBA, Python, SQL, or scripting for automation is helpful. Familiarity with regulatory filings (FERC EQR, EIA) or NERC coordination is beneficial for certain portfolios.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, Engineering, Energy or related field
- 3-5 years of relevant experience in financial reporting, treasury/accounts payable, or portfolio/asset management support; experience in energy/renewables or structured finance preferred
- Strong Microsoft Excel skills (pivot tables, lookups, basic modeling) and comfort preparing reconciliations and variance analyses
- Excellent written and verbal communication and stakeholder coordination skills
- Detail-oriented, organized, and able to manage competing priorities in a fast-paced environment
