Job Summary
IQA Associate Assessor for Fitness Qualifications, remote contract-based role responsible for quality assurance, monitoring assessor practice, and standardising assessment decisions across the fitness qualifications portfolio; tasks include sampling learner work, providing constructive feedback, CPD planning, and supporting assessors; must hold Level 3+ in Personal Training, CAVA level 3 or A1, V1 or D34 IQA, and be able to work digitally and collaboratively.
Required Qualifications
- Must have a recognised qualification at level 3 or higher in Personal Training
- Must hold an assessing qualification such as CAVA level 3 or A1 (or equivalent)
- Must hold a V1 or D34 (or equivalent) in IQA
- Experience of assessing fitness qualifications
- Experience of internal quality assurance / sampling
- Working with awarding organisations and EQA processes
- Experience supporting or mentoring assessors
- Be digitally skilled in Microsoft Office, email and other commonly used platforms
- Be able to research supportive answers to student questions
- Be able to provide high quality assessment decisions
- Excellent written and communication skills
- Ability to challenge practice constructively
- Be able to work as a part of a wider team
- Maintain own professional development to ensure the highest quality service to learners
