Job Summary
Manage inbound media requests, coordinate stakeholder responses, and proactively pitch stories to APAC publications while securing speaking engagements. Draft press releases, talking points, and briefing documents, then oversee internal and external review processes to meet business-critical deadlines. Build and maintain a journalist contact database, track media engagement metrics, conduct competitor analyses, and assist with press release distribution and award submissions. Serve as a trusted advisor to leadership and support portfolio companies on communications matters.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree
- Minimum of 3 years of corporate communications experience, either in-house or at a strategic communications firm
- Understanding of and experience in the asset management and/or broader financial services industry
- Strong verbal and written communication skills, including the ability to edit/proof content and context in both English and Chinese
- Experience tracking and measuring results to ensure they are in line with intended outcomes
- Good interpersonal and networking skills and the ability to work with cross-functional, multicultural teams and agency partners
- Self-motivated team player with the ability to execute under limited oversight and tight deadlines
- Strong track record of effective media relations and working with senior stakeholders
