Job Summary
Associate Analyst, Investment Data Management role focusing on supporting daily data-management operations, including investment entity set-up for trading desks, performing detailed data analysis, and identifying/resolving data issues. Responsibilities include responding to business questions on data timeliness/quality, executing database queries to analyze/validate data, troubleshooting production issues with Technology and Business partners, and contributing to Operations projects across multiple business units. Required skills include strong analytical ability, experience with SQL/OBIEE, and interaction with vendors, clients, and end users to ensure data accuracy and timely delivery. The Global Data Services organization emphasizes data sourcing, analysis, integration, management, and distribution of security, index, and portfolio data to support global investment decision-making; compliance with applicable securities regulations and internal policies is noted.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Business/Finance or related field
- 1-3 years’ experience working in an Operations, Business Analysis, and/or Data Analyst role
- Financial Services Industry experience working with reference data preferred
- Experience working with Bloomberg, Thomson Reuters, IDC, and industry ratings vendors preferred
- Experience working with reporting tools such as SQL and OBIEE preferred
- Data analytics, data mining, reporting, operations research and data manipulation experience preferred
- Able to interact with vendors, clients and end users of the data
- Exhibited skills in problem identification and resolution
- Strong analysis skills resulting in the ability to respond to customer inquiries with accuracy
- Proven ability to multi-task, prioritize and meet deadlines
- Good organizational and project management skills to navigate through high volume setting with tight deadlines
- Demonstrated ability to work independently and collaboratively with all levels of staff, management and other business partners
