Associate AI Security Researcher

Job Summary
Associate AI Security Researcher focused on advancing AI security research for national scale impact. Engage in vulnerability discovery and assessment of AI systems, analyze robustness and defenses, reverse engineer malicious AI-related code, and develop/validate new analysis methods and tools. Collaborate with AI researchers, cybersecurity experts, university faculty, and government partners; co-author research proposals; execute studies; and present findings at conferences. Requires hands-on work with AI/ML and cybersecurity disciplines, experience with common AI/ML tools, reverse engineering tooling, and programming, plus ability to travel for sponsor engagements and to obtain/maintain a DoW security clearance. Required Qualifications
- BS in machine learning, cybersecurity, statistics, or related discipline with three (3) years of experience; OR MS in the same fields with one (1) year of experience.
- Familiarity with AI/ML software packages and tools (e.g., Numpy, Pytorch, Tensorflow, ART).
- Familiarity with reverse engineering tools (e.g. NSA Ghidra, IDA Pro).
- Experience with Python, C/C++, or low-level programming.
- Experience developing frameworks, methodologies, or assessments to evaluate effectiveness and robustness of technologies.
- Excellent written and oral communication skills for technical audiences.
- Willingness to travel to various locations (approx. 5%).
- Background check and DoW security clearance requirements.
