Job Summary
Associate, AI Fund at Sagard — join a founding team building the Sagard AI Fund, contributing across sourcing, due diligence, portfolio monitoring, and value creation while gaining hands-on experience at the intersection of enterprise technology and frontier AI. Responsibilities include sourcing investment opportunities across the AI technology stack, conducting diligence on market dynamics and financials, building and maintaining sector maps and research, developing relationships with founders and co-investors, attending conferences and events in key markets (SF, NYC, Toronto), tracking portfolio performance against theses, supporting partnerships and introductions, assisting portfolio companies on strategic initiatives, and aiding quarterly LP reporting and investor communications. Proficiency with AI tools (e.g., Claude, Codex) to automate repetitive work and improve processes, and maintaining rigorous CRM hygiene are expected, along with a genuine intellectual curiosity about AI and an existing network in AI or technology would be a plus.
Required Qualifications
- 2–5 years of experience in investment banking, venture capital, management consulting, corporate development, or working at a high-growth technology company
- exposure to AI or enterprise technology is a plus
- Strong analytical skills – ability to build a model, synthesize research, and communicate clearly
- Intensely collaborative and entrepreneurial; comfortable in ambiguity and contributing to building a new strategy
- Bachelor's degree required
