Job Summary
Associate Advisor Training Specialist responsible for real-time advisor support, training delivery, and development of scalable best practices to improve advisor adoption and outcomes. Responsibilities include providing real-time support via phone, email, and 1:1 consultation; delivering virtual and in-person training sessions (webinars, bootcamps, group sessions); creating and maintaining training materials, job aids, and knowledge-base resources; guiding advisors through financial planning tools such as eMoney, MoneyGuide, and AdvicePay; translating advisor needs into practical learning experiences; and collaborating on content to reflect evolving planning strategies. Requires hands-on experience with financial planning tools, strong communication and problem-solving skills, and a Bachelor’s degree with relevant licenses (Series 7 and 65/66) and 3+ years in a related role. Travel around 15% and Hybrid in-office schedule (San Diego, CA) as part of the role.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Financial Planning, Business, or a related field (or equivalent experience)
- Relevant financial services licenses required, Series 7 and 65/66
- CFP®, CPWA®, Paraplanner certification, or similar credential preferred
- Minimum 3 years of experience in financial planning, wealth management, or advisor-facing support role
- Strong understanding of financial planning workflows, including plan development and scenario modeling
- Hands on experience with financial planning tools such as eMoney, MoneyGuide, or similar platforms
- Ability to operate effectively in a fast paced, high volume, advisor facing support environment
- Strong problem solving and troubleshooting skills across technical and planning-related issues
- Ability to communicate complex concepts clearly in a practical, easy to understand manner
