Job Summary
Associate Advisor to provide customized financial solutions with a focus on individual insurance and investment products in Burnaby, BC. Responsibilities include advising and selling life insurance, critical illness, disability, health and dental plans, segregated funds, and annuities; opportunity to sell mutual funds with a valid license; build and maintain long-term client relationships; ensure licensing compliance to sell People Corporation’s products; frequent travel within the region for in-person client meetings. Requirements include LLQP certification (valid or in-progress), post-secondary education in business/sales/marketing, knowledge of regional products, valid driver’s license and vehicle, proven B2C sales; established client base; minimum 5 years in insurance sales/business development; strong communication and presentation skills; ability to work with internal teams; comprehensive benefits and retirement plan. Required Qualifications
- Valid or in-progress LLQP certification
- Post-secondary education in business, sales, or marketing
- In-depth knowledge of the individual insurance products available in the region
- Valid driver’s license and access to a vehicle
- Proven experience in lead generation, sales processes, and securing new business in a B2C environment
- Established client base or network of potential prospects
- Minimum 5 years of experience in the insurance industry, particularly in business development
- Demonstrated success in meeting sales targets
- Excellent communication and presentation skills for effective client interactions
- Deep understanding of individual insurance, investments, and related products
- Strong sales and marketing skills with the ability to promote the organization’s strengths
- Proven ability to work effectively with internal teams (accounts, marketing, underwriting, pricing, etc.)
