Job Summary
Associate Actuary in TransRe's New York City Pricing team will work with Underwriting to evaluate deals and advise on final decisions. Responsibilities include pricing reinsurance treaties and certificates for traditional casualty and professional liability, participating in client visits and audits, conducting annual profitability studies, quarterly reserving, loss trend and development factor studies, portfolio analytics, and supporting ad-hoc actuarial projects. Requires ACAS/FCAS designation (or equivalent), 10+ years of pricing experience in P&C/reinsurance, strong Excel proficiency, and demonstrated ability to advise underwriters and collaborate with cross-functional teams. Hybrid schedule with 3 days in the office and 2 remote days. Salary range: $165,000–$200,000 base in New York.
Required Qualifications
- ACAS or FCAS designation
- 10+ years of actuarial pricing experience in P&C insurance or reinsurance
- Proficiency in Excel with PivotTables and PivotCharts
- Strong communication and collaboration with cross-functional stakeholders
